URGENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Covid Vaccination News 22nd June 2021

Priory Gate is the host practice for our Primary Care Network - If you are a Priory Gate patient aged 18 or over and have yet to receive your vaccination please phone us to enable you to book in. If you have previously declined your vaccine and now wish to go ahead please contact the reception team.

We have a small number of patients with incorrect contact details so please check this with us when you phone.

We may well be contacting you by text message and these are often sent at weekends.

Our lead vaccine for first dose patient under 40 is Pfizer.

If you have previously advised that you do not want a COVID vaccination and have now changed your mind please contact the reception team and we will book you in.  

IN ADDITION we have a drop in Vaccination clinic for first dose vaccines on Saturday 26th June between 9.30 and 17.00. If you have your NHS number this will help but if not don't worry we are keen to see everyone 

Parkrun- Memorial Park Coventry

Priory Gate Practice is now a Registered Parkrun Practice and we plan to be running at 9am in the Memorial Park in Coventry. If you are interested. If you wish to join us follow the link below and register. We will post on here when staff are running

Text Message Service April 2019

We are in the process of introducing a text message reminder service at Priory Gate so please ensure you provide us with an updated mobile number when you have contact with us and let us know as soon as possible after you have changed your number.

If you prefer for us not to have any contact this way please let the reception team know.

Patient Participation Group

Priory Gate is looking to expand our Patient Participation Group. The Group meet quarterly and support the Practice with a range of activities. If you are a patient and would like to consider joining the group please contact the Practice Manager Glenn Walker to express your interest or to have an informal discussion. glenn.walker@nhs.net or 02476 961370.

The Partners and staff were delighted to be shortlisted for 5 awards ( more than any other Practice of the 65 that make up the Alliance) and Dr Tyrrell was thrilled to receive her award.

Priory Gate Practice aims to be fully compliant with the new GDPR Regulations. As part of this we have prepared a Privacy Statement describing how we handle and deal with your medical information. A copy of this is available for you to download under the Further information GDPR tab on the right.

Please ensure you advise us of any change in your circumstances including contact numbers, email and address to enable us to maintain appropriate contact with you.

Sharing of Medical Records - June 2017

The Coventry & Rugby CCG (the CCG) has recently authorised a mail drop to all Coventry households advising that the aim is to share the information on your GP record with other associated Health Care Professionals when needed. The aim of this project is to allow them to view this information as required as part of your care and treatment.

If you do not wish for your information to be shared please let either the Reception team or Clinical team know this when you are next in contact with us.

Extended Hours Appointments

Priory Gate have formed an alliance with a number of Practices across the city and are now able to offer telephone appointments between 6.30pm and 9.45pm between Monday to Friday and at daytime on Saturday and Sunday. If you wish to benefit from these appointments please contact our reception team before 6.30pm on Monday to Friday.

Access to Medical Records

All patients now have the right to access some of their medical records on- line. Please send an email to the Practice if you would like this facility: priory.gate@nhs.net

Named Accountable GP

All Patients of Priory Gate now have a named accountable GP. The named GP is largely a role of oversight, with the requirement being introduced to reassure patients they have one GP within the practice who is responsible for ensuring that this work is carried out on their behalf. Drs Tyrrell, Kelly and Woods  undertake the bulk of this role, however please ask at Reception if you do not know who your named accountable GP is.

Cancelled or Did Not Attend Appointments

If you are unable to attend an appointment at Priory Gate please contact us at the earliest opportunity to enable the appointment to be made available to other patients.  The cost to the NHS for one week of missed appointments is usually around £2000.

 

Yellow Fever Clinic

 Priory Gate is  authorised to provide Yellow Fever vaccinations. Our Prescribing Nurse Dawn Baker has undertaken appropriate training for this service. The cost of this service is £60 per patient and this includes a certificate with the vaccination. Duplicate certificates if they are needed can be provided for £10.
